This is a great time to start planning your financial goals for 2011. Did you fall short of your goals this year? How’s your budget? Do you see a plan for retirement? I heard recently that many shoppers had no budget. What? Short-sighted thinking will very easily produce long-term pain. Don’t let this happen to you. Start planning for next Christmas. Setting aside a little money each month will allow you to buy your gifts in cash.

What are your retirement plans? A report came out earlier this month that showed Americans believed they can live off of $300,000 for retirement, but the majority of them have less than $25,000 saved. There’s a serious disconnect here. We need to start planning for our retirement by saving just a little each month.

The economy has caused a number of Americans to start facing their debt realities. Are you one of them? Make January 1, 2011 the beginning of your living out a sound, fiscal plan to get out of debt.
